There is a type of figures made by simply
leaving the splash paint on the surface of the thickened water. This
technique is called
Battal Ebru and is a traditional Turkish way
of marbling. |

NASIL
YAPILIR:
Ebrunun temel ilkelerinden birini,
boyaların su üzerine atılmasını
öğreneceksiniz.
Yaptığınız fırçayı hazırladığınız boya kavanozuna batırıp bol boya alın.
Yukarıdaki şekildeki gibi sol elinizin işaret parmağını
ileri uzatın. Sağ elinizdeki fırçayı
parmağınıza sertçe vurun.
Boyalarınız suyun
yüzeyine sıçrayarak dökülecektir.
Bunu değişik renklerle, birkaç kez yineleyin.
Boyalarınız ve
kitreniz tam kıvamında ve uyumlu ise
renkler para para açılacaktır.
Battal Ebru'nuz tamam.

HOW
TO
MAKE:
In this section, you will learn one of the most important concepts of
the marbling paper: How to splash paints on the thickened water.
First, get some paint with a brush, which you’ve made on your own (explained
in the other section).
Use your left-hand’s index finger, as shown above, to hit the brush and
splash the paint on the water.
Do the same to make other figures with different colors.
If the thickened water is made right, each splashed color will be opened
just like a coin on the water surface.
Now your “Battal Ebru” is ready.
